The response to Hurricane Sandy was one of the longest in Healthcare Ready (Rx Response) history, with members of the team deployed to the NY/NJ area to support the Disaster Medical Assistance Teams responding to the public health needs in the impacted area. This activation highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships and the role that these partnerships play in ensuring that patients have the medicines they need during disasters.
