Before joining Healthcare Ready, Ivor worked for a national NGO assisting farmers in staying on land by securing conservation easements, providing expert information, conducting soil and water health analysis, promoting sustainable farming practices, and providing financial assistance through its micro-grant programs during regional and national states of emergency. There Ivor held a position as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) Board Chair and approached all of his work with DEIJ values in mind. Ivor was born in Zagreb, Croatia and spent some time living abroad in Serbia and Russia, where he worked on women’s health issues, vaccination of vulnerable Roma population, and people living with HIV.
Ivor holds a Masters of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies specializing in Nationalism and Nation-Building from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where he took special skills courses and simulation training on International Crisis Diplomacy. He got his Bachelor’s Degree from the American University’s School of International Service. Ivor is fluent in Serbo-Croatian and Russian.
In his spare time, he enjoys running, rebounding, playing with his dogs, and learning languages.
