WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 20, 2020 – With the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic growing globally and domestically, Healthcare Ready, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring patient access to healthcare in times of disasters, is working at its highest level of activation to provide ongoing assistance and coordination support to response efforts.
Healthcare Ready is working with Public Health and Emergency Management Departments in states across the country, along with several federal agencies, to coordinate the sharing of vital information and response activities with the private sector industry. The organization is providing a suite of information and resources on its website during this rapidly shifting pandemic, while also giving real time updates @HC_Ready on Twitter. Resources include:
United States Measures and Travel Restrictions Map: This interactive map tracks state and local movement and travel restrictions, health and emergency provisions for COVID-19, limits on mass gatherings, and local containment or quarantine measures. It is being updated daily. Information is sourced from publicly available state and local websites.
International and Travel Transportation Restrictions Map: This map provides a global overview of measures taken by countries and businesses in response to COVID-19 impacting the movement of people and goods across countries. The tracker assigns scores in seven major transportation and movement variables pertaining to the movement of people and goods across countries.
COVID-19 Resources for the Healthcare and Public Health Community: On this page, Healthcare Ready is providing information for the healthcare and public health community including Healthcare Ready situation reports, COVID-19 resource centers, information for patient care settings, and individual state emergency declarations.
COVID-19 Resources for Individuals and Patients: On this page, individuals and patients can find information and guidance regarding the COVID-19 outbreak including state level emergency prescription refill orders, tips to protect yourself from COVID-19, and insurance resources.
Business Continuity Resources for the Supply Chain: Healthcare Ready has consolidated guidance and best practices for manufacturers and distributors. Resources include business continuity during a pandemic, disinfection and infection prevention and control, and workforce protection.
