Restoring the Healthcare Workforce for Equity Initiative

Restoring the Healthcare Workforce for Equity Initiative

Introducing the Restoring the Healthcare Workforce for Equity Initiative (RHWE), developed in response to the unprecedented challenges faced by healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the significant losses and the debilitating effects of burnout experienced among the healthcare workforce, RHWE was launched with the overarching goal of creating and amplifying resources to restore and support frontline workers as they navigate their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Funded by the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) COVID-19 Response Fund, the initiative focuses support for individuals working in community health centers (FQHC) and free and charitable clinics across the U.S.

Our Mission

Enhancing the resilience and resources of frontline workers in health centers and clinics is critical to maintaining healthcare access for medically underserved communities. By rebuilding the capacity of the healthcare workforce in regions disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, we strengthen the resilience of all communities against the next major disaster.

Our mission is clear: to champion health equity by providing comprehensive training, resources, and policy advocacy to restore and empower the healthcare workforce.
