This page contains updates to provide situational awareness around current hurricane response as well as free resources and state-specific information to assist healthcare facilities, communities, and individuals prepare for and respond to hurricanes.

Hurricane Map

Healthcare Ready’s Hurricane Map shows important information about healthcare facilities in impacted areas. The visualization consists of a map showing the location and information of healthcare facilities, including:

  • Hospitals
  • Dialysis Centers
  • Pharmacies
  • Rural Health Clinics
  • Federally Qualified Health Centers

How to Use the Map

Hover over each county or facility for more specific information. This information can be kept on the visualization by continuing to hover over the selected county, or the pop-up text window

  • For counties, the pop up will display the county name and FIPS code.
  • For facilities, the facility name, healthcare facility type, address, county and state will display.

To search for a specific county or facility in impacted states, hover over the main map, and a magnifying glass icon will be displayed in the upper right corner of the map. From here, a search bar will appear in the top right corner of the map. Type the name of the requested county or facility into the bar, then hit enter to zoom the map into that county.

Healthcare Ready's Role During the 2022 Hurricane Season

Our focus is to ensure resources are available in sufficient quantities to ensure the most vulnerable communities are appropriately prioritized and making sure scarce or limited resources are adequately reaching the communities that need it most.

This page provides information for the healthcare and public health community, situational awareness around current hurricanes impacting areas of the United States, as well as free resources and state-specific information to assist healthcare facilities, communities, and individuals with prevention.

Healthcare Ready's Assistance Includes

  • Rapid access to the right contacts in the private sector or government
  • Coordination with federal, state and local officials, nonprofits and shelters to ensure coordination and assistance with access to medicine
  • Coordination with HHS, FEMA, state EOCs, and private sector companies
  • Assistance with donations to shelters 
  • Facilitating access to healthcare facilities to ensure deliveries and personnel have access into restricted areas or with resuming operations
  • Sharing information and promoting the use of medicine assistance programs
